Carve the Mark by Veronica Roth

Rating: ⭐⭐⭐

Not quite the same thrill as reading Divergent for the first time. Unique storyline, but felt like it took forever to finish, and want to finish, this book. 

The character development was decent enough, but all of the characters seem so angry all of the time, and that radiates out as giving the whole story and underlying mood of anger and resentment. No one is ever happy. As a reader, it creates a stagnant mood and a wish for more diversity.

Not bad, just not enough interest for me to continue the series.
